Most soldiers and staff have their own private or shared rooms with built in private bathrooms and sometimes, even living rooms. You can even bring with you some personal belongings such as your laptop, TV set, video games etc. except they’re all strictly prohibited during work and training hours.
Aside from the superb facilities and system in the army, another perk of being a member of the army is being able to work overseas. Living in another country gives you the opportunity to learn more, experience more and get to know others more. British soldiers are deployed on missions around the world in order to offer their skills on protecting their country and providing humanitarian aid in war-torn countries. Army men may be sent on mission and trainings in countries like Afghanistan, Cyprus, Brunei and the South Atlantic Islands where all expenses are shouldered by the government. And while on a mission overseas, the British Army ensures that all their soldiers are well taken care off. Soldiers can explore the new country on their days off and their basecamps are also fully equipped to meet all their needs.
